ENGAGE Nicaragua Fall 2014

We have seen great results with our college-age missions program, ENGAGE Nicaragua. In January 2014, we opened an ENGAGE office at the A/G National Conference building of missions in order to meet and serve the pastors in the best way possible and it has been a huge blessing.  Each semester, we continue to receive young people from the States, so they can go out and be equipped and be in a position where God can speak to them in order to clarify His calling on their lives. Currently we have 10 students in Nicaragua and these young people clearly have a call of God on their lives and are eager to serve the local church and learn missions firsthand. They are attending the Biblical institute in Managua on Wednesday, while they are taking their courses at their university of choice back in the States "via online." During the weekend, each of them travel to their local church where they are supporting the pastors, ministering to children and young people. These young people, who stay in the program up to two years, leave here better prepared and equipped to go to the land of their calling. Since we have started this program, we have seen students leave here and do the necessary steps to go as missionaries to Colombia, India, Africa, South America, Afghanistan, Middle East and Nicaragua. We feel proud that Nicaragua and the pastors, with whom we are working with here, are leaving their mark on the lives of our students.
