Language School Graduation

It is hard to believe that we arrived in San Jose, Costa Rica almost a year ago for the purpose of learning Spanish. Through out the year our minds have been filled to full capacity and overflowing with grammar rules. Our kids have adjusted to a new culture and a new school. We have made many memories and had the opportunity to build great friendships with other missionary families from all over Latin America.

Today we graduated from Cincel. Cincel is the name of our language school and is also the Spanish word for "chisel". Chisel is an excellent word for describing what this year has been like for our family. God is continuing to mold and shape our lives.

Today at graduation we each had the opportunity to publicly share a word of thanks with our teachers. We would like to share a part of this with you as it applies to each of you as well.

"Queremos decirles gracias a ustedes por haberse creido en nosotros. Por su dedicación a Dios y su apoyo, juntos podemos compartir el amor de Dios a los niños y los jovenes en Nicargaua. Cuando Dios nos usa a tocar una vida, sepan que ustedes tambien estan tocando una vida."

"We would like to say thank you for believing in us, because of your dedication to God and your support, together we are able to share the love of God with the children and youth of Nicaragua. Remember, when God uses us to touch someones life, please know that you are also touching someones life."

We would not have been able to complete this intense year of language study without you. Thank you for your love and prayers for our family!

We have created a slide show of pictures to share with you. These are all pictures from the last 2 days as we say good bye to our fellow classmates, missionaries, teachers and friends. The picture in the top left hand corner is of us with our fellow missionaries to Nicaragua, Steve and Kim Sobey. Please keep us all in your prayers as we make this transition to Nicaragua. Our family will be heading to Nicaragua this Sunday morning. We will load our family and belongings in a bus and leave Costa Rica at 3 a.m. to begin the next chapter in this journey. Thank you for coming along with us. . .
