As a young child Moises began shining shoes on the street with hopes of earning $1 a day to help put food on the table for his mother and 6 siblings. Like most families in this community, lack of food is a major issue. At 17 years old, he could not read or write, was shoeless himself and still shining shoes. After being part of the Farming School of Hope the last 6 months, he is full of joy and hope, loves the Lord, has multiple farming and construction skills and a great job. Today Moises can read and write and is in an adult education program. In March Moises will continue his studies with adult education with hopes of completing grades 3 and 4 in 2010. Now that Moises can read and write he is excited about being able to fully participate in the Felipe discipleship program. Moises is 1 of 12 boys in the program who are being trained, discipled, and raised up to make a difference for God in his family and community. Please pray for Moises that God would continue to teach him new skills and perseverance to complete his studies.
