World Missions Board Approval

If you were in our home tonight, you would have seen me (Ken) beaming with joy. No one could have been feeling the way I did, because I was "the man". There I, in the midst of feeling victorious, knew that once again I have proven to my sons that I am, indeed "King of the beanbags". During all of the excitement, the phone began to ring. I continued to let the phone ring because I needed to remind my boys that you just can't mess with dad when it comes to "father-son beanbag wrestling."

After I called a quick timeout for a water break (my prime is not what it used to be), my wife was beaming with joy. We received the phone call that we have so anxiously been awaiting. Rick Johnson, a member of the world missions board, called our home tonight to simply say "congratulations!"

We knew the official phone call from Springfield was coming, but we were anticipating it tomorrow. We are grateful for the many blessings in our lives including God's timing. He is never too early nor to late, He is always right on time.

Please keep us in your prayers during this time of transition in our lives. We will continue ministry at The Shores Church with the students that we have grown to love so deeply until May 17. At that time we will begin full time itineration.
