Clothing Distribution

Yesterday we had an amazing opportunity to bless over 150 families in the surrounding area of the city dump by having a clothing and shoe distribution.  With all the donations left behind from the teams this summer we made a make shift store in the front of Lilieth's house next door to where the Children's Center is being built.   With the help of the ladies from the Holland First team, we were able to pull off a very organized little space where each person was able to come in a pick two clothing items, a pair of shoes, a small toy and even a hygien product.  We allowed them to come in and pick the items as apposed to just handing them a bag of stuff, to show them a little love.  As a way of life they dig through the garbage for whatever they can find and then the just make it work.  It was beautiful to see all the smiles on the kids faces as they were able to find a little pair of shoes that  fit them properly. Thank you to all the team who so selflessly left behind their own belongings to bless others, as well as the many people from their supporting churches who sent donations with their teams.  You were part on a wonderful blessing to many mothers and their children.  Thank you!
