Serving as a missionary has been a dream of mine since I was five. More importantly, it has been a dream because of the call of God on my life as a little girl.When I (Kendra) was 13, I went on my first missions trip to Jamaica. While I was there, I entered this in my journal "I feel like a little missionary, a real live one."
On August 10th, at the 2007 General Council in Indianapolis, I found myself standing overwhelmed with emotion as Ken and I were commissioned as World Missionaries.
It was one of the most memorable moments in my life. I felt so blessed by the support from our family, our pastor and our district. I was filled with so much excitement as this dream was becoming a reality.
From the day we are born, God has a plan for our lives. Sometimes God deposits a burden in our hearts or a call on our lives that doesn't always unfold immediately. As we follow His leading, things start to fall into place in His timing. I just want to encourage you. If God has given you a dream, hold on to it. He does have a plan and wants to use you!
